New Vision Partners was established in 1999 through members of All Saints Church in Pasadena, CA to incubate peace and justice oriented programs for those who are the most vulnerable. NVP was created with an interfaith, multicultural board to address the needs of communities in crisis both locally and internationally.
Soon after incorporating, NVP became the Irvine Foundation’s coordinator for its CORAL (Communities Organizing Resources to Advance Learning) Program in Pasadena. The program was a seven-year statewide initiative focusing on after-school learning. NVP collaborating with several community-based organizations to serve over 500 disadvantaged children and youth with academically-based enrichment programs. This project allowed NVP to purchase a former YMCA center to serve as its program headquarters, now called the CORAL Innovation Center.
As that program sunsetted, NVP took on the responsibility of developing and providing its own youth and children’s programs. NVP is now serving nearly 120 children and teens each week locally with high-quality after school educational and enrichment programming. NVP also oversees other programs and projects both local and international in scope.
